Flower Power Bracelets

Here's some more bracelets I've made recently. Even made some Christmas styles.

Caramel
This one was still over on the counter by the glue gun and didn't make it to the photo shoot yesterday. I really like the antique glass plate this one is on.

Cupcakes - 4th times a charm!

Pretty in Pink
Sunflowers
Retro
Christmas
Chocolate & Butterscotch
Here are the final cupcake creations. I think I will call them "Swirls by Stacey". They were a lot of fun to make. I found the plates at the local Goodwill and took my inspiration from there. I used pearlized pins as a decoration around the cupcake liner. They are pretty much the size of a regular cupcake.

Cupcakes - take 2 & 3

The second felt cupcake pin cushion I made is on the left. I had this cute ribbon and made it to match. I liked the color combination but felt that it was too tall. The one on the left was my next attempt. It's the right height but seems too small around. Back to the drawing board!

Halloween Costumes

For Halloween this year I thought it would be fun for my husband and I to dress up like Olive Oyl & Brutus (or Bluto if you prefer). I'd been Olive Oyl one year as a teenager and it's a pretty easy costume. I found a spool of rick rack I had and basted it around my skirt. I found some felt to make the ruffles around my sleeves and neckline. I found the hat on Clearance for a couple of dollars. It is actually a golf hat and snaps in the front. I cut an anchor out of felt and glued it over the snaps to cover them up and help the hat stand up like a sailor's hat. It was pretty easy and only cost $4 - $2 for the hat and $2 for a can of black hairspray.
