Felt Cupcake Pincushion

I've seen a lot of cupcake pincushions lately so I decided to try my hand at making my own. I had this cute saucer and thought it would be the perfect starting point. Since I had my felt dug out from making Halloween costumes last week I was all set. I just had a few scraps of the pink that had been cut with pinking shears so I used that to make the roses. Wish I knew where my pinking shears were now. Hopefully I'll come across them soon. I've been crocheting a lot of doilies lately so I decided to include that in the picture as well. It was so much fun I'm sure I'll make more soon and post them on here to share.

Young Women Value Bracelets

I made up this bracelet a couple of weeks ago out of some beads and elastic I had leftover from my days of working for Westrim. Each flower is in a different color representing the different values the Young Women emulate. I made up kits and taught the girls how to make them last week. They all really enjoyed it and most of them caught on quite quickly.

Phestival on Phelps

Today I had a booth at the 2nd Annual Phestival on Phelps in Downtown Apache Junction. It was fun meeting and talking to a bunch of people. Even though it was nearly 100 degrees I even sold a scarf. Looking forward to my next couple of boutiques.

Scarves by Stacey

These are a couple of scarves from my personal stash that I hope will be wearing soon as the weather is starting to cool off.

This is my current inventory which is a bit low since I've been selling some recently.

Scarves are my signature item that I've made the most of. I starting crocheting them around 5 years ago. During the busy months I've crocheted while hanging out with friends watching movies and playing games. I've even been known to crochet scarves while walking around Disneyland and in movie theaters as well. I played around with a couple different designs but finally settled on one. I love this project because it uses an entire skein and I'm not left with anything extra to figure out what to do with. Everyone loves how soft they are. I've had many friends take the scarf basket to work and sell 20 or more in a day. I've even sold them right off me before. Over the past few years I've taught crochet classes and even sold scarf making kits. At my last couple craft shows I've mostly sold scarves which is funny since it was 97 degrees out both times. I guess if I can sell scarves when it's that hot it goes to show how good they are.
