Double Decker Shopping Carts

I have to say that I love the new Double Decker Shopping carts that many of the grocery stores around here have now. Since I rarely buy a lot at one time I hate pushing around such a huge cart with just a few items in it. Regular carts are so big and bulky and awkward to push around. The newer style is just perfect. It easily carries everything I want to purchase and makes it so much easier to reach the items to place them on the counter for checkout. I really am in love with these new carts and wish they were everywhere.
Now if I could just get used to the new layout of my local Fry's grocery store since they recently remodeled. I feel so lost and confused in there sometimes with everything switched around.

The more you know...

the more you Kohls!

Two weeks ago there was a $10 off any purchase coupon for Kohls on the front of the AZ Republic. When I stopped at a gas station that day I went in to check to see if there were any papers I could buy and I was pleasantly surprised that there was a stack of free editions of the paper with the coupon attached. I picked up 3 of them.

These are the great deals I got:

55 cents for a gumbo fiesta bowl. Regular price $15. On sale for $10.50 so I just had to pay 50 cents plus 5 cents tax. It looks great as a candy bowl with the table runner my mom made for me don't you think?

A container for around 44 cents. It was $12.99 and then on sale 20% off. The perfect size to neatly store packs of oatmeal.$1.07 for a pair of Keds and a finger towel. The shoes were marked down to $7.99 on Clearance from $39.99 and the towel was on sale for $2.99 from $4.99.

For some reason it seams that Kohls does this quite frequently but since I don't subscribe to a newspaper I usually don't take advantage of it. I'm glad I was able to score some great deals this time around. Thank you Kohls!

Potential

When you meet someone for the first time how do you measure them up? On their past? What they are doing presently? Or on their potential? I had this random thought this morning as I was wandering about aimlessly working on things.

I love to watch all the extra footage on DVDs. It's amazing to me to see how much work goes into making a tv show or a movie. I've learned so much about the process and am continually impressed with everything that goes on behind the scenes that you'd never know.

Recently I was watching some try out footage. When I saw it and compared it to how these performers act in the finished product it's hard to believe they are one and the same person.

Casting directors must have an amazing ability to see the potential in people and situations. What a different place this world would be if we could look inside people to see what they will
become and treat them as they were already there.

I remember once many years ago when a cousin came to visit me at college. I treated him as I had remembered seeing him several years before. After our visit though it occured to me that he was trying to be very different from what he once was. He'd been through many life changes since I'd last seen him and was actually quite a different person. It's sometimes difficult to allow others to change.

When we get married we not only need to know our spouse's past so we can understand where they are coming from, but know their present situation because that's what we deal with day to day and also see in them their true potential and do whatever is within our power to help them achieve it.

I've often thought that if we didn't need other people to learn and grow we'd each be on our own little planet growing food and sustaining our lives. But that's not how it works. We're all in this together and one of our biggest missions is to not only see the potential inside of us and work towards it but to also see the potential in others and help them achieve it.

Flower Power Bracelets

Here's some more bracelets I've made recently. Even made some Christmas styles.
